The upper right hand corner embellished with a general view of Groningen, the lower left hand corner showing a couple in local dress. The decorative items and the title-cartouche fully coloured, the map itself with border colouring. The back of the map without text, no centerfold.
First state in contemporary colour. Cf. Koeman, Kee 1, map 25, and Vredenberg-Alink, III A 2, for the atlas map with text on the back. From the missing of any text and the missing centerfold one may conclude that our map has been issued separately. Minor staining, mainly concerning the broad white margins.
