Beschreibung:
"'t Konincklyck Huys te Ryswyck. Alwaar Wegens de Generale Vreede Gehandelt Wert. Maison Royale a Ryswyck. Dans la Quelle on Traite de la Paix Generale.. t'Amsterdam by Frederick de Wit in de Kalverstraat aen den Dam met Privilegie van de Heeren Staten van Hollant en West-frieslant". Amsterdam, Frederik de Wit,1697 or later. 47 x 59,5. The bird's eye view of the palace and its gardens in the centre is surrounded by front- and gardenviews as well as a plan of the building, the cartouche is crowned by the royal arms of William III. No text on back.

From de Wit's "Theatrum.. omnium urbium.. Belgicarum XVII Provinciarum", Koeman Wit 26. Most probably a newly engraved plate by de Wit himself. Very good impression, well preserved copy. - The palace of Nieuwburg has since been demolished and doesn't exist any more.
