Large sized chart with a decorative title cartouche in the centre of map, a further cartouche with 2 scale bars and in addition several compass roses. Copperplate engraving by P. Starckman after the design of H. Michelot and L. Brémond from their “Nouvelle carte generalle de la Mer Mediterranée”, Marseille 1726. 47, 5 x 68, 5 cm.
Fine impression on strong laid paper with small white margins at three sides, at top cut to platemark or slightly within (but the outer of three engraved borderlines untouched). Small area of lower centrefold expertly reinforced.
