At top of the card a roughly more than one third page map of Liguria, at bottom an engraved enumeration of the different sub-territories with their capitals, a special remark to the Principato d’Oneglia and a depiction of a baton. Playing card to play the Florentine version of the tarot play, the “Minchiate”, designed by Augusto da Rabatta and Jean-Bapt. de Baillou. Engraving with original colour by Aniello Lamberti from his “Nuovo Atlante Generale Metodico, ed Elementare Tascabile”, Florence 1779. 9, 6 x 5, 5 cm.
Extremely rare playing card map. No. VI of baton suite. – Strong impression, the contemporary colour freshly preserved. Cut to or slightly outside platemark. Laid down on thin writing paper and mask-framed in cut-out laid paper with ample margins, mounted in the 18th century.
