Sicily with an inset-map “Carte Particuliere de l’Isle de Malte et des Isles Voisines” in the left-hand bottom corner. Engraved double-page map in bright original colour after Delisle by Joachim Ottens, probably published by his sons Reinier & Josua Ottens, Amsterdam at around 1719 or later. (PM) 50,5 x 58,5 cm.
Dufour-La Gumina, p. 198. The main title in French and also in Latin in top panel. In the right hand bottom corner a cartouche with explanations and 4 scales. - A perfect copy of this uncommon map. Splendid original colour. Wide margins.
