"Panorama de St. Christophe". Part view of the island with Basseterre in the background. Tinted Lithograph by Sabatier with extensive additional early hand-colouring, Paris around 1850. Sabatier executed the print after a drawing by Jean-Victor Frond. 32 x 47,5 cm.
The artist and photographer J.-V. Frond lived for many years in the Carribeans and South America. Here he made many landscape skechtes and watercolours on the spot which he later brought back to Paris.- Ample white margins. Only few spots in white margin. Very fine print!
