Shirley 522. A close copy of Pierre du Val’s world map first issued in 1666 (Shirley 441), but from a new plate. Probably our copy is an intermediate state published by du Val’s widow before the daughter took over the business and changed the imprint. – Wide upper and lower margins, side margins narrow. Unobtrusive restoration to centre fold. Excellent copy.
