“Asia”. Detailed map of the continent, presented as a kind of wall map ending in a scroll and flanked by three decorative borders. In the bottom border exotic plants and trees from Asia are depicted. Copperplate engraving by Melchior Haffner jun., Augsburg ca. 1685. 27 x 34 cm.
M. Haffner jun. was an engraver from Ulm, who worked mainly in Augsburg between 1670 and 1690. - Very good condition: Strong impression of the whole plate with adequate white margins. Few creases taken out, unobtrusive restorations to lower centrefold and margins only.
