Derived from Henricus Hondius’ map of 1638 and probably published in cooperation with Pierre Duval, whose name is not mentioned on the map. Not published as part of an atlas, cf. Pastoureau, Mariette, p. 345-349. Uncommon. – Very good impression of the whole plate with wide original margins on laid paper with a big Cardinal’s hat watermark . Cartouches uncoloured. Guard removed, and few vertical creases taken out. In upper margin manuscript-No. “95” by an old hand. Excellent copy.
