Nr. 326: Bohemia
“Bohemia”. Engraved map with 2 decorative cartouches, published “Amstelodami Guiljel: Janssonius”. The map was most probably engraved by or in the workshop of Willem Blaeu as well. (PM) 38, 5 x 49, 7.
First and only state of this uncommon single printed map with a title cartouche crowned with the Bohemian coat of arms. As the publisher added “Blaeu” to his name from 1621 onward, our map must have been published before that date. Schilder, vol. IV, map 41. – Fine and dark impression on laid paper with wide original margins on all sides. Lower centrefold reinforced. Else a very good and well preserved copy of this scarce map.
